MIE 2014 will be a doctoral student conference for researchers in Mathematics and Computer Science. It aims to connect with international research communities for the worldwide dissemination and sharing of research ideas and results. Three coherently interrelated tracks will be arranged in the two-day conference including Mathematics, Informatics, and Technology Enhanced Learning. Young researchers and post-doctoral students are also welcome to participate in paper presentations, doctoral student consortia and panel discussions under the themes of the conference tracks.

Important Dates:
Submission of papers                          30 May 2014
Notification of acceptance                  30 June 2014
Submission of final versions               1 August 2014
Early registration                                 30 July 2014

Submission:
We invite submissions of full papers (8 pages), short papers (5 pages), and poster abstracts (2 pages). Authors should use the Springer LNCS format (http://www.springer.com/lncs). Important: Authors should clearly indicate the track and the type of the contribution (e.g. as sub-title). Papers must be submitted as PDF documents through the EasyChair submission system at http://www.easychair.org/conferences/?conf=mie2014
All papers will be peer-reviewed by at least two members of the program committee. At least one author should attend the conference to present the paper.
Awards:
The best paper awards are set up to encourage submission of high-quality papers on related research. Awards will be presented to the Best Doctoral Student Paper and the Best Conference Paper.
